This year my participation in Destination 1111 included facilitating participants from the Lansing Area, and the creation of three instillations; Biofuel, Habitat and Aerobic Bioreactor. Documented here are the three instillations (in order listed) as well as an over view of the show.
Biofuel is a commodity chain where wheatgrass juice is the final good. Wheatgrass is grown, harvested, processed into a juice, and distributed to the consumer/viewer/participant in this interactive work.

Habitat investigates the relationship between a staged performance, and performance of the daily practice. I had the opportunity to dwell in the gallery space for the two weeks prior to the show. This has facilitated the installation of ‘Biofuel’, allowed me to assist in the instillation of other artists showing work in the space and granted me the opportunity to become familiar with the space and the artwork.

Aerobic Bioreactor
This is a simple aerobic bioreactor. It offers an oxygenated environment for bacteria to break down the waste collected while cleaning the space for the exhibit.

The space included artwork by:
